We are searching for an Administrator to join our Kiknu team based in Eskasoni, Nova Scotia.

About Opportunity
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced leader to serve as Administrator for our long-term care facility. The Administrator will oversee daily operations, ensuring high-quality Elder care, regulatory compliance, and a positive work environment for staff.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of the long-term care home
Ensure compliance with provincial regulations and standards of care
Foster a culture of respect, dignity, and resident-centered care
Manage budgets, staffing, and resource allocation
Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and community partners
Lead quality improvement initiatives
Promote staff development and retention through mentorship and training
Qualifications
An Indigenous Leader from Unama’ki, preference given to Community Members of Eskasoni Band
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, or a related health care field
Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in long-term care, healthcare administration, or relevant managerial experience
Strong knowledge of Nova Scotia’s long-term care regulations and standards
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex operations
Leadership in Continuing Care Certificate or willingness to obtain
Proficiency in Mi’kmaq will be considered an asset
Valid NS Drivers licence and access to transportation
Ability to provide a Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening
