About this position
Canadian North is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide support to our Flight Operations department. If you are organized, detail oriented, and eager to launch your career in the aviation industry, this could be a great opportunity for you!

Reporting to: Manager, Flight Operations Administration

Duties and Responsibilities
Must be able to perform, but not be limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:
- Administrative support for Flight Operations Management (data processing, correspondence, memorandums, etc.);
- Clerical duties including preparation and distribution of mail and faxes; stationery and supplies replenishment; filing, photocopying and facsimile transmissions, minutes of meetings, etc.;
- Maintain inventory of department forms;
- Daily verification of information entered by OCC and Crew Scheduling in AIMS of the company’s daily flying activities from all bases;
- Data entry of additional information for fuel uplift, departure and arrival fuel and payload from aircraft journey logs into Aims;
- Collating and filing of flight plan paperwork and retention for 90 days;
- Help with onboarding of new hire Pilots and Flight Attendants;
- Assist on special projects as required;
- Other related duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
Include, but not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent related work experience;
- Airline experience considered an asset;
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, Share Point);
- Must have experience in an office environment, developing memos/bulletins, etc.;
- Possess excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to accomplish multiple tasks with minimum supervision;
- Ability to recognize and organize priorities;
- Proven customer service skills for internal and external customers;
- Ability to communicate in Inuktitut a definite asset;
- Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Area Pass in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada.
