- ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Scan, file and log Accounting Documents
- Assemble, review and verify invoices and check requests
- Sort, code and match invoices
- Prepare and perform check runs
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
- Produce monthly reports
- Assist with month end closing
- Provide supporting documentation for audits
- Review spreadsheets for accuracy
- Maintaining cash applications, account reconciliations, chargebacks
- Process advance deposits for Events
- Follow up with outstanding payments from customers
- Other tasks required within the office
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
§ Knowledge & Experience in general accounting procedures
§ Attention to detail and accuracy and strong organizational ability
§ Strong Communication Skills (written/verbal)
§ Able to work independently
§ Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
§ High School Diploma/GED required
§ Post-Secondary Education required
§ 2+ years’ experience in Accounting
§ Experience with Sage 300 an asset
