Summary:
We’re looking for an experienced, reliable and motivated Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Associate to join our team. As an AP/AR associate you'll play an essential role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly by managing outgoing payments, incoming receipts, and supporting accurate, timely reporting. Your contributions will directly support TDL Canada's mission of delivering exceptional service to our business partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (AP):
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Process vendor invoices accurately and on time.
- Ensure proper coding and approvals for all payables.
- Schedule and prepare payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers).
- Maintain up-to-date records of all payables.
Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Generate and send customer invoices.
- Record incoming payments and apply them correctly to accounts.
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Communicate with customers regarding payment status or billing inquiries.
- Assist in managing credit limits and payment terms.
General Finance Support:
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payment or billing issues.
- Administrative duties including running reports, filing and other general office duties.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma, Diploma or higher preferred but not required
- Experience: 2-3 years in AP/AR processing high volume transactions and reconciliations
- Other: Familiarity with MSBC preferred but not required
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of AP/AR processes and general accounting principles
- High attention to details and accuracy
- Experience with invoicing, billing, and reconciliation
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Familiarity with ERP systems and online banking portals
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Can work collaboratively with internal teams, vendors and customers to solve discrepancies.
