The West Vancouver Community Services Department has an immediate opening for a casual Youth Basketball Leader at Gleneagles Community Centre.
Reporting to the Community Recreation Program Coordinator, the ideal candidate is motivated, assertive, energetic, and available to supervise youth basketball on Saturdays from 5:00-6:00pm. Duties will include taking attendance, promoting good sportsmanship and ensuring rules are followed. Applicants must also have the physical ability to carry out the duties of the position and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate will possess Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification (or equivalent). Previous experience and knowledge of the rules and techniques of basketball are required. Previous experience instructing basketball, working with various age groups including youth and adults, and coaching certifications would be considered assets.
The successful candidate will be required to supply a police information check and a copy of their credentials.

$22 per hour
