Erskine Presbyterian church is seeking a worship leader/ music director.
We are a vibrant congregation with many people who love to play & sing on a Sunday morning.
With a team of sometimes 15 musicians and vocalists who rotate in, we need leadership that could work and lead people of varying abilities.
Experience in the following areas preferred:
- Play a lead instrument, Piano, Keyboard etc., knowledge of multiple instruments an asset
- Vocal ability to lead worship and engage with congregation
- Strong organizational skills and ability to be flexible
- Support and lead current team & continue to recruit congregants of varying abilities
strong faith and open-minded attitude
- Be part of the worship planning committee
- Lead a Thursday night practice
- Experience with both traditional music, such as hymns and contemporary worship music
- Working knowledge or willingness to learn ProPresenter, presentation software
- Working knowledge or willingness to learn Planning Centre, worship planning and scheduling software
- Liaising with minister regarding themes for services and suitable music
Liaising with organist for periodic organ service
- Liaising with tech & sound lead
- Ability lo lead worship alone if needed
- Teaching experience is an asset
- strong faith and open-minded attitude
- Be part of the worship planning committee
- Attend 1 staff meeting per month
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.20-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 per week
