Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Woodworker / Cabinet Maker to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking, with specific experience in building kitchen cabinets. This role involves assembling, modifying, and installing cabinet components with precision and care, ensuring top-quality workmanship and a sharp eye for detail. The Cabinet Maker will work closely with designers, installers, and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to our high standards.
Responsibilities
- Build and assemble custom and ready-to-assemble (RTA) kitchen cabinets using woodworking machinery, hand tools, and power tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate measurements and designs.
- Cut, shape, and finish wood, MDF, and related materials with precision and attention to detail.
- Install cabinet hardware such as hinges, slides, handles, and drawer systems.
- Perform quality checks to ensure cabinets meet company standards for fit, finish, and durability.
- Safely operate table saws, routers, planers, edge banders, and other shop equipment.
- Assist with loading of cabinets and materials.
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and installers to ensure seamless workflow and timely project completion.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety guidelines and procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any assembly or installation issues as they arise.
Experience
- Proven experience in cabinet making, millwork, or a related woodworking field.
- Proficient in operating woodworking machinery such as table saws, routers, planers, and edge banders.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and cabinet layout plans.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and high-quality craftsmanship.
- Experience assembling kitchen cabinets or similar products.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy materials, standing for long periods, and working in a shop or job site environment.
