Overview
We are looking for someone to add to our woodshop team. They will be responsible for cutting, sanding, staining, & finishing a variety of stairs & railing products. We will provide all the necessary training. Helping in the warehouse will mean having to move flooring products and load/unload products when delivering them to customers. Driving experience is required since doing deliveries in our cube van will also be part of the job.
Duties
- Construct, stain, and finish stairs and other products according to specifications.
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Measure and cut wood materials accurately to ensure proper fit and finish.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding project progress and any issues that arise.
- Assist in moving finished products to designated areas and loading them for delivery.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients.
Skills
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
- Experience in moving heavy materials (50 lbs.) safely and efficiently.
- Valid driving license for transporting materials or finished products.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, including inventory management.
- Excellent customer service skills to enhance client interactions.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during the woodworking and delivery processes.
- Ability to operate a forklift is a bonus but not required.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
