About the Role:
We are looking for a dependable and hardworking labourer to assist in the installation of commercial windows and doors. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working with tools, being on-site, and learning the trade in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist installers with loading, unloading, and transporting materials to job sites
- Help set up and take down scaffolding, ladders, and tools
- Prepare work areas and clean up debris at the end of each day
- Hold and position materials during installation
- Perform general physical labor including lifting, moving, and assembling frames and glass
- Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
- Support the team to ensure projects are completed on time and with quality workmanship
Qualifications:
- Prior construction or general labour experience an asset
- Willingness to learn window and door installation
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working at heights and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- Safety training (e.g. Working at Heights, WHMIS) is a plus

- Utilize hand tools effectively for various building tasks.
- Support welding and plumbing activities as needed.
- Collaborate with carpenters and other trades to ensure project completion on time.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction or labor-intensive roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with schematics and blueprints is essential.
- Skills in drywall installation, tile laying, construction painting, welding, building, plumbing, and flooring installation are highly desirable.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to construction work.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
