We are seeking a Welding Robotic Technician to work with robotics, fixtures, fabricating and welding in the shop. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding, robotic welding, blueprints, use of shop equipment (Bandsaw, Drill Press, Forklift, Oxy-Acy Torch, Plasma, etc.) The successful candidate will move on to a Shop Foreman position upon all training and competencies have been completed.
START DATE: Q3 2025
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, program, and operate robotic welding systems to ensure high-quality welds.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of robotic welding systems.
- Collaborate with engineering to optimize testing processes and improve efficiency.
- Conduct tests and inspections on robotic systems to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment performance, maintenance activities, and welding operations.
- Monitor and adjust robotic systems as necessary during test runs.
- Provide technical support and training to team members regarding robotic welding systems.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards.
- Fabricate and weld mild steel.
- On site service and repair of existing robotic set up's.
- On site install of new systems
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in welding or robotics is preferred.
- Proven experience with manual welding and robotic welding systems.
- Strong understanding of welding processes, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
- Ability to program, troubleshoot, and maintain robotic welding equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Safety-conscious mindset with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with robotic vision systems and automation integration.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and robotic simulation tools.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Pay: From $21/hr
