Courtyard Prince George is recruiting for a part-time Weekend Evening Bistro Cook to join our team! This role is responsible for food preparation, daily shift checklists and providing support to the Head Chef and other Food and Beverage staff as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
- Accurate prep of menu items according to anticipated guest traffic
- Prepare dishes for guests with food allergies or intolerances
- Assist with inventory management
- Adhere to all required health and safety regulations, including brand standards and procedures while preparing food
- Maintain clean and sanitary Kitchen/Bistro work and storage areas
- General stewarding duties including dishwashing, sweeping and mopping
- Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
- Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
- Listen and respond professionally to all questions and concerns internally and externally
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be available to work weekends and evenings
- Ability to meet physical needs of the position (standing and walking for extended periods of time, lifting up to 50 lbs)
- Food Safe Certification
- Clear and concise communication skills
- Highly responsible and reliable under minimal supervision
- Good time management skills and multi-tasking ability
- Passion for cooking and cleanliness
*Successful candidates will work every Saturday & Sunday evening 3:30 pm - 10:30 pm
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.50-$20.25 per hour
