POSITION REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF HOUSING/PUBLIC WORKS

SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Housing/Public Works, the Water Truck Driver is responsible for ensuring that clean safe water is delivered to Sucker Creek First Nation Members, administration buildings and businesses on an ongoing consistent basis for the Nation.
DUTIES:
· Makes regular water cistern inspections and reports problem areas for repairs.
· Maintains water truck, including weekly washing of truck, changing oil and greasing of truck, as required, conducting regular inspections to ensure all equipment is in good working order, and informing the Director of Housing/Public Works of any necessary repairs.
· Keeps delivery/pickup clean by periodic cleaning.
· Reports any problems related to water delivery immediately.
· Maintains daily logbooks on home deliveries and on driving hours.
· Attends and participates in related meetings, as required
· Performs other related jobs, as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must possess a valid class 3 Driver’s Licence.
· Must possess a valid appropriate driver’s license for the job and submit a driver’s abstract at least two (2) days prior to the interview.
· Must provide a criminal record (CPIC) check and Child Welfare Information Systems (CWIS) check, at least two (2) days prior to the interview.
· Must possess an Air Brakes Certificate.
· A grade 10 education, or any combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, abilities and skills.
· Physical aptitude to perform the tasks required.
· Ability to work as a team member.
· Must be motivated and well organized.
· Willing to be on an on-call basis
· Ability to speak Cree is an asset.
· Oath of Confidentiality must be signed prior to commencing employment.
