Summary
This opportunity is in Penticton, BC. Typically the first person onsite, you become the face of the organization during a time of need. Attending to these emergency situations you proactively limit damage and mitigate loss following IICRC protocols. We are looking for a positive, hard-working individual and are willing to provide Water Technician training to candidates who successfully pass their probationary period (3 months).
Core Competencies
- Competent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of restoration principals, IICRC, The Clean Trust, and other industry remediation protocol’s.
- Provide customer service in a time of need.
- Able to multi task and assess priority in difficult situations.
Job Duties
- Use acceptable IICRC practices in all aspects of structural drying
- Ability to assess and implement procedures that will expedite the drying process.
- Working knowledge of mediation equipment operation and placement.
- Manages onsite emergency response activities, including pumping water, clearing carpet, removing drywall, mitigation, etc.
- Sets up deodorization, negative air, ozone, thermo-fogging and related equipment on site.
- Responsible for the monitoring of temperature, humidity, and GPP readings.
- Upload detailed water sheets from the site daily.
- Completes and submits timesheets for all jobs.
- Ensures all health and safety protocols are being implemented and followed.
- Assists with content handling, pack out, and documentation following company procedures as required.
Requirements
- Previous restorations experience an asset.
- IICRC or equivalent certification in Water Damage Restoration.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Bondable
- Able to work on a on call schedule
- Ability to work in a team environment.
Working Conditions
- Ability to drive and visit projects covering a vast geographical area.
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- On call rotation

Salary: $25.00-$29.00 per hour
