Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Operations Manager. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, including the efficient movement of goods, inventory management, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. This role involves maintaining accurate inventory control, implementing systems to monitor stock levels, and addressing discrepancies as needed. You will also lead efforts in improving warehouse processes, optimizing space utilization, and ensuring all operational activities are conducted efficiently and accurately. The role also involves managing purchasing activities, including coordinating with suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce lead times. The manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and support the company’s goals of cost reduction, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. An ideal candidate is a highly organized, results-driven leader with extensive experience in warehouse operations and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warehouse Operations Management:
- Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of products.
- Implement and maintain efficient workflows, inventory control systems, and safety protocols.
- Ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment, reducing errors and enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Regularly keeping areas tidy and efficiently put away.
- Inventory Control:
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts, timely replenishment, and minimal stockouts, implement and monitor cycle counting procedures, audits, and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Analyze inventory reports and make recommendations to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously assess and improve warehouse processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
- Identify bottlenecks, implement corrective actions, and introduce automation or technology improvements where applicable.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., logistics, procurement, sales) to ensure smooth communication and coordination.
- Work with senior management to develop and implement strategic goals for warehouse performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field is a preference.
- High-Level athletes are a preference
- Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, Six Sigma) a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of warehouse or operations management experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Forklift experience is a preference
- Proven track record in improving operational efficiency in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to lift up to 90lbs
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficient in warehouse management systems, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software.
- Knowledge of logistics, inventory control, and supply chain processes.
- Ability to make data-driven decisions and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
