Overview
Are you a fast, thoughtful video editor with a passion for impactful storytelling? Cassiar Film Co. is looking for a skilled editor to join our Post Production team immediately to support two major educational video series. You’ll be working alongside a close-knit team of editors, animators, and producers in our downtown Abbotsford studio.
This is a contract position with a clear end date of August 31, 2025. While there is potential for future renewal, priority for fall extensions will be given to current team members. We’re looking for someone exceptional, efficient, and reliable—someone who stands out.
Project Highlights
You will be primarily working on:
Workshop Facilitation Series
- Editing 16 multicam workshop sessions (recorded live)
- Each final video will be a 10–20 minute learning tool guiding viewers on how to facilitate workshops
- You’ll be responsible for pacing, clarity, and narrative flow from raw footage to final export
Professional Learning On Demand Series
- Team-based collaboration on a high-volume, curriculum-aligned course series
- Final outputs include a mix of interview-style, presenter-led, and scripted video formats
- Working in tandem with our full post team to meet a hard delivery deadline of August 31
What You’ll Do
- Edit high-quality educational video content using Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve
- Organize and manage multicam footage efficiently
- Apply graphic templates and visual treatments provided by our design team
- Collaborate with producers, content leads, and fellow editors for feedback and quality control
- Maintain fast turnaround times while delivering polished, consistent results
What You’ll Bring
- 2+ years of professional editing experience
- Experience editing long-form and/or high-throughput projects
- Comfort working with Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve (either is required)
- Ability to manage complex timelines and project briefs
- Strong storytelling instincts and a commitment to clear communication
- Bonus: Experience in educational, non-profit, or instructional media
