SCHOOL PROFILE:
Victor H L Wyatt School is a Kindergarten to Grade 8 school with a projected enrolment of 332 students for September 2025.
• Support the strategic actions of the Multi-Year Strategic Plan (MYSP).
- Modeling of professional integrity, adaptability, creativity, and enthusiasm for students and learning.
- Responsibility for articulating and promoting positive expectations for student learning and social development.
- Knowledge of Early Years and Middle Years curriculum and program implementation, including individualized programming.
- Commitment to, and expertise in:
o providing strong educational leadership for a school team in a professional learning community.
o responding to diverse student needs and the challenges schools embrace, to prepare citizens for the 21st century.
o supervising teaching and non-teaching staff.
o performing all school management functions.
o promoting the school’s positive profile in the community.
o collaborating effectively with the divisional administration team.
o leading staff and community learning in anti-racist, anti-oppressive education.
o integrating Indigenous perspectives into teaching and learning.
- This assignment will include Student Services and/or an additional teaching assignment to be later determined.
• School Administrator’s Certificate preferred.
- Post-Baccalaureate, Pre-Master, or Master’s degree, ideally in Education Administration, is preferred.
- Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to, and expertise in, and/or experience in:
o Contributing to staff and community learning in anti-racist, anti-oppressive education integrating Indigenous
perspectives into teaching and learning and actualizing the priorities of the MYSP.
• Permanent Manitoba Teaching Certificate.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Clear report from the Child Abuse Registry.
- Respect In School or Commit To Kids certification.
