WestCorp Solutions is seeking an experienced Turnaround Scheduler to support our client near Regina, SK. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the turnaround team by developing, maintaining, and optimizing detailed schedules in Primavera P6, facilitating alignment with stakeholders, and ensuring the scheduling process supports both readiness and execution goals. This is a contract position beginning in August or September 2025, with work expected to continue through July 2026. Extensions may be possible based on the client’s operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain integrated milestone and execution readiness schedules for the turnaround.
- Build detailed Primavera P6 task-level schedules, structured with proper coding for scope tracking and analysis.
- Lead and support daily schedule updates during execution, including found work, critical path tracking, and recovery planning.
- Generate summary reports, progress curves, and look-aheads for field coordination and management reporting.
- Collaborate with operations, subcontractors, and project teams to validate durations, logic, and resource needs.
- Provide support for budgeting, resource planning, and project cost estimation where applicable.
- Implement quality control measures and monitor schedule performance throughout the turnaround lifecycle.
- Participate in post-turnaround close-out processes, including lessons learned and performance analysis.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of direct scheduling experience in turnarounds in heavy industrial environments.
- Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Journeyperson certification or trade background in a mechanical or related field strongly preferred.
- Practical field experience with maintenance planning, processes, and execution.
- Strong understanding of schedule logic development, critical path planning, and resource management.
- Experience with planning, estimating, and budgeting in industrial settings.
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms (e.g., SAP) is an asset.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Able to work independently under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Collaborative team player with experience working across multidisciplinary teams.
