Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Car Hauler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting vehicles safely and efficiently from one location to another. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving, automotive repair, and heavy equipment operation, ensuring that all vehicles are handled with care and delivered in excellent condition.
Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload vehicles onto and off of transport trailers.
- Operate commercial vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle transport, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding transport status and any issues encountered during transit.
- Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicles are in optimal condition for transport.
- Operate forklifts or other heavy equipment as required for loading and unloading tasks.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
- Experience in automotive repair is preferred to address minor issues during transport.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus.
- Previous experience in freight transportation or logistics is beneficial.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
