TRUCK DRIVER - READY MIX CONCRETE

We now have an opening for a Ready Mix Truck Driver to work out of our plant in Kentville, Nova Scotia.

You’ll bring to the job:
- A willingness to learn. No concrete experience necessary. We teach the technical requirements.
- A valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s license with air brake endorsement.
- Licensed to drive and experience driving a manual transmission truck.
- A focus on customer service using interpersonal skills.
- Detail oriented, and commitment to quality standards.
- Demonstrated record of safe driving and adhering to safety guidelines.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Driving in a safe and courteous manner to and from job sites.
- Monitoring the product to ensure it meets specifications upon delivery.
- Adding products to the mix manually, when required.
- Unloading the truck mixer of product under the direction of the customer.
- Performing various administrative duties including submitting delivery slips to customers, collecting payments for deliveries, and others tasks.
- Dealing with customers and the general public in a friendly, professional manner.
- Maintaining a clean ready-mix truck and mixer, both inside and out.
- Performing necessary pre-trip inspections, ensuring the unit meets all safety guidelines.
- Maintaining an accurate log book.
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Pay: From $23.75 per hour
