Delivery and service are provided for all areas of the city and surrounding area, including Cochrane, Airdrie, Strathmore, Langdon, Okotoks, High River, and Millarville. Responsibilities: **
- Deliver ready-mix concrete and other associated products to construction job sites and residential areas in a professional, safe, and efficient manner.
- Adhere to Provincial and Municipal transportation legislation.
- Conduct thorough pre and post trip inspections to minimize breakdown risks while hauling perishable products.
- Ensure the truck cab, drum, discharge and charge hopper, chute and tower are cleaned daily.
- Maintain clean working environments at customer sites and Rolling Mix yards.
- Assess each load to ensure product accuracy and customer specified slump is achieved.
- Maintain and enhance communication channels between dispatch, drivers, other team members, and management.
- Take initiative to support other team members and customers when required.
Candidate requirements:
- Minimum Class 3Q drivers license with a clean 5-year Drivers Abstract.
- Strong knowledge of the City of Calgary and surrounding towns.
- Willing and Able to work flexible hours such as overtime and weekends as dictated by needs of the business.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions including bending, climbing and reaching overhead above the shoulders daily.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to inform pre and post trip inspections and help prevent catastrophic failures while loaded.
- Understand how individual efforts contribute to the success of the overall team.
- Standard transmission experience an asset.
As a part of our Occupational Health program and dedication around safety, all employees working with heavy machinery and equipment are required to provide a clean Criminal Record, complete a fit-for-work physical, and successfully provide a clean drug and alcohol test.
