Our practice is looking for a detail-oriented, experienced Dental Office Treatment Coordinator to join our team on a Full Time basis. This may include one Saturday a month on an as needed basis.
The Dental Office Treatment Coordinator will play a key role in executing the day to day administration and coordination of the dental office.
The person we are looking for loves being behind the scenes to organize, implement systems and structure to ensure the practice runs efficiently.
Who are we looking for?
- Act as the first point of contact to patients, particularly through welcoming and hosting in-person, over the telephone, and through email, with a view to deliver outstanding customer/patient service
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently; optimize the time and schedules of the dental professional team by minimizing gaps between appointments
- Manage the daily appointment schedule including patient check-in, updating dental providers on patient status (ie. on-time/early/late), reviewing timeliness of appointment completion, and reporting service delays to Office Manager
- Contribute to a warm and welcoming atmosphere for patients and families that exceeds expectations and leaves a lasting impression
- Build patient relationship through ongoing dialogue and resolving any escalated patient issues promptly
- Input patient information (including insurance information) with high degree of confidentially, into the practice management software (Dentrix)
- Responsible for the organization and co-ordination of office supplies, deliveries, etc.
- Manage patient finances: estimating and collecting patient portions due at the time of service
- Manage the day to day finances by reviewing and processing accounts payable and receivable
- Accessing the insurance portals to input payments to patients
- Manage staffing schedule to ensure appropriate coverage for treatment rooms and front desk.
- Encourage patient acceptance of treatment plans by adding value for the proposed treatment
Qualifications and skills:
- Must be fluent in English
- Must have organization, communication, and computer skills
- Dental experience is mandatory
- Dentrix experience is an asset

Days needed: Monday- Friday,
one Saturday every other Month (9-3pm) on a as needed basis ( roughly 6 a year)
