Your Opportunity
Our Transportation group provides comprehensive planning, design, and engineering services for all phases of roadway, transit, rail, aviation, and bridge projects. We are currently seeking co-op/interns for our multi-disciplinary team. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who can work in a team environment, are keen to learn and want to be involved in exciting local and regional projects.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Assist engineers in the preparation of highway and roadway designs, quantity takeoffs, and drawings for a variety of transportation design engineering projects
- Computer aided design and drafting, checking drawings and calculations, and quantity take-offs
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to work in a team environment
- Basic understanding of general civil design concepts in relevant areas
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High emphasis on attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic understanding of software such as AutoCAD and Civil3D would be considered an asset
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Education and Experience
Must be currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering Technology and/or Engineer Design and Drafting program.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
