Title: Traditional Wellness Systems Navigator
Salary: $88,948 - $104,644 - $120,341 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: Term for 1 year
Hours: 37.5 hours (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)
Location: Fraser Salish Region, BC, located on the ancestral territories of the Stó:lo¯ Nations – Hybrid
About the role
As Traditional Wellness Systems Navigator, you will play a vital role in connecting First Nations families, children, youth, and service providers with sacred practices, traditional knowledge, and respected Knowledge Keepers. You will support culturally grounded and holistic care by facilitating access to traditional wellness supports across primary, acute, and community health services. With a strong foundation in Indigenous health approaches, cultural protocols, and wellness systems, you will foster collaboration among interdisciplinary teams and ensures seamless referrals and information sharing across the Fraser Salish region. Working closely with Traditional Wellness Coordinators, you will also be supporting data management and reporting to strengthen service delivery and community impact.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have/be –
Education and Occupational Certifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Nursing, or a related health profession.
- Any relevant occupational certifications are assets.
Experience and Knowledge
- Min. 3 years of recent and relevant experience working with BC First Nations communities - especially children, youth, and families – in a culturally safe manner, preferably within the Fraser Salish region.
- Min. 4 years of recent and relevant experience in health services case management, including the development of individualized wellness plans for complex care needs.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate and collaborate within provincial or regional health systems, with a focus on Indigenous health and wellness.
- Skilled in promoting best practices in Indigenous health and mapping health and social systems to support coordinated patient care.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) in fast-paced, evolving healthcare environments.

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.
Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.
The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
