Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Tow Truck Deck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. As a Tow Truck Deck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles, equipment and assisting customers in distress, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and care.
Duties
- Operate Deck Truck and other vehicles safely and efficiently to transport vehicles and equipment
- Perform vehicle recovery operations, including winching and lifting techniques, while ensuring the safety of all involved.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of towing equipment to ensure proper functionality and compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting stranded motorists, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a friendly manner.
- Maintain accurate records of tows, including vehicle information, locations, and any incidents that occur during the towing process.
- Collaborate with dispatchers to receive job assignments and report any issues encountered during operations.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to perform minor repairs or adjustments on vehicles as needed.
- Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in good working condition.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driving license (CDL) with air ticket and a clean driving record.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair and towing equipment operation.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients in stressful situations.
- Experience operating equipment is mandatory.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the job demands.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks associated with towing operations.
