Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting vehicles safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles and equipment. The Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to tow vehicles to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the road.
- Assist with basic automotive repair as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving or freight transportation is preferred.
- Familiarity with automotive repair techniques is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations governing commercial driving.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
- A valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.
