Job Overview – Vancouver Tour Guide with Personal Vehicle
We are currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Tour Guide based in Vancouver who is familiar with the city and its key attractions. The ideal candidate should own a comfortable 7-seater vehicle and be willing to use it for transporting up to 5–6 guests per tour.
This is an hourly-paid position. Fuel costs will be the responsibility of the guide.
Each tour lasts approximately 4 hours, beginning with guest pick-up and ending with drop-off at the same location. During the tour, the guide is expected to provide live commentary about the city, its landmarks, and any notable sites or neighborhoods encountered along the way. We will provide full training and route details prior to the first tour.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Friendly and communicative
- Comfortable driving in the city
- Passionate about Vancouver’s history and culture (or willing to learn)
Responsibilities
- Lead guided tours, providing informative and entertaining commentary about the sites visited.
- Educate guests about the history, culture, and significance of each location on the tour.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during tours.
- Answer questions from guests and provide exceptional customer service throughout the tour experience.
- Manage time effectively to adhere to scheduled tour itineraries while allowing for guest interaction.
- Maintain knowledge of current events, local attractions, and historical facts to enhance the tour experience.
- Collaborate with team members to improve tour offerings and guest satisfaction.
Requirements
- Excellent public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Time management skills to ensure tours run smoothly and on schedule.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to accommodate a diverse clientele.
- Leadership qualities to guide groups effectively while fostering a positive environment.
- Previous experience in hospitality, education, or similar roles is a plus but not required.
- A passion for sharing knowledge and enthusiasm for local culture is essential.

Pay: $22.57-$30.18 per hour
