We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Textile Cutter to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately measuring, marking, and cutting fabric materials according to patterns or specifications. This role requires precision, efficiency, and a good understanding of different types of textiles and cutting techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure and cut fabrics according to specified patterns or dimensions
- Read and interpret cutting instructions, production sheets, and layout markers
- Ensure proper alignment of patterns and fabric grain
- Use manual or electric cutting tools and machines safely
- Inspect materials for flaws or inconsistencies before cutting
- Maintain a clean and organized cutting area
- Track material usage and minimize fabric waste
- Work closely with the production team to meet deadlines
- Follow all safety and quality control procedures
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a textile or fabric cutter (preferred)
- Familiarity with different fabrics and cutting tools
- Ability to read patterns and technical instructions
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good physical stamina; ability to stand for long periods and lift fabric rolls
- Team player with good communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
