You will be responsible for:
- Build robust and competitive tender cost commitment.
- Manage Product sourcing reference library to fit with market prices.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategy at the tender phase to ensure optimal cost productivity (i.e. preferred suppliers, saving & risk assessments, etc.)
- Collect and formalize Return of Experience on projects deployed in the region.
- Liaise with Engineering Department, Bid Managers and with many different stakeholders (i.e. Supplier Quality, Supply Chain, etc.) to prepare tender sourcing commitment.
- Challenge commodity buyers & managers to increase competitiveness and ensures convergence of commodity strategies with Tenders.
- Manage Cost Opportunities & Risks with tender & multi-métier teams.
- Challenge tender requirements when relevant (promote standardization or optimum technology).
- Manage sourcing commitment into Tender.
- Lead Pre-bid agreements at the tender phase when it brings a real advantage.
- Cooperate proactively with Engineering to ensure “Design to Cost (DTC).”
- Consolidate the sourcing commitment in the tender phase, including actualization & firming calculations.
- Build realistic, competitive and on-time tender cost commitment.
- Lead the strategy and monitor localization requirements (Buy America, Buy Canada, DBE).
What you need to succeed:
- Bachelor in a relevant area of expertise: Purchasing, Engineering, Project Management, Quality and Supply Chain, and/or Finance.
- 5 years of experience in a relevant area of expertise, Project, Sourcing, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and/or Supply Chain.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools with advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Good communication skills in English, ability to work well in a team environment and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a challenging and dynamic environment.
- Results-oriented approach with the ability to understand and apply rigorous and structured methodologies to complete the work as required.
- The ability to communicate well in French is considered an asset.
