Antler Creek Contracting Ltd. is seeking an experienced and safety-minded Hook Tender for full-time work in the Terrace, B.C. area. We are looking for a dependable individual with a strong background in cable logging and solid Back Spar Hoe experience, especially for steep slope operations.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate rigging systems in cable logging operations
- Work closely with the yarder operator and crew to ensure safe, efficient production
- Utilize Back Spar Hoe to assist with rigging on steep slopes
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance of rigging and equipment
- Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a positive team environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Hook Tender in cable logging
- Back Spar Hoe experience is required
- Physically fit and able to work in steep, rugged terrain
- Valid Level 1 First Aid (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
