Temporary Front Desk Assistant (Leave Coverage)

About Us: Grande Prairie Gymnastics is committed to creating a positive and energetic environment for athletes of all ages. We focus on promoting fitness, skill development, and community spirit through gymnastics, cheerleading and parkour.
Join Our Team! We are looking for an outgoing and organized temporary Front Desk Assistant to become the welcoming face of our gym. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, assist with administrative tasks, and ensure a welcoming atmosphere for our members and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet and greet members, parents & visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Answer phone calls and provide information about our programs, schedules & events
- Handle registration and bookings for members.
- Engage in sales activities, promoting our programs and services.
· Handle cash and electronic transactions
- Perform photocopying, scanning, and filing tasks as needed.
- Input data accurately into our systems.
- Provide support to Program Coordinators as needed.
- Assist with general office duties to support daily operations.
· Handle any member concerns or feedback with professionalism and empathy.
- Help maintain a clean, tidy, and organized front desk and lobby area.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required.
- Outgoing, friendly, responsible, punctual, and adaptable.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential matters.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Criminal record check with a vulnerable sector search is required.
Assets:
- Previous stellar customer service experience is an asset.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM
- Opportunity for additional substitute hours.
This position is considered a temporary part time position commencing as soon Sep 24, 2025 and is a Leave coverage with an anticipated end date on April 27, 2026.
