Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Redbirds Basketball Head Coach, the Technical Specialist Assistant Coach will be expected to assist the head coach with weekly responsibilities, focusing on tasks that support the development of student-athletes, the team, and sport-specific support systems.
Under the direction of the Redbirds Basketball Head Coach, the Technical Specialist Assistant Coach will be expected to assist the head coach with weekly responsibilities, focusing on tasks that support the development of student-athletes, the team, and sport-specific support systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day coaching activities.
- Analyze game and practice footage to select clips and provide individualized feedback to players.
- Deliver position-specific coaching and feedback to all student-athletes.
- Contribute to the planning and content of weekly training sessions.
- Attend meetings as required by the Head Coach.
- Support the delivery of training content during practices.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities:
- NCCP Level II certification
- Experience playing or coaching at the university level is a strong asset
- Bilingual in French and English
Selected candidates are expected to successfully pass their criminal background check.
