TECHNICAL SALES / ACCOUNT MANAGER
Points West Marketing is a Manufacturers Representative firm with over 30 years in the Alberta Market. Our Manufacturer Partners produce top name brand products for the Commercial and Residential channels of the Plumbing and heating industry.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Ø This position will be focused on heating (Hydronics) and Pump channels of our business for Northern Alberta. This is considered as Red Deer and North.
Ø Primary focus on the commercial Contractor, Engineers, and wholesale heating departments, service contractors, building operators, developers.
Ø occasional overnight travel required into the territory to meet with clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ø Promote and sell Points West’s and our Manufacturers products and services to the commercial specifiers, contractors and distribution.
Ø Assist the residential sales team with Hydronic & pump knowledge and presentations when necessary to the residential contractor and or builder.
Ø Strengthen existing relations ships and create new business partners in the channels mentioned above.
Ø Maintain a high level of knowledge as it relates to the heating industry around local and national codes.
Ø Maintain a high level of knowledge around our product offering and its applications. This will include some travel to manufacturing facilities for hands on training. As well as participating in on line and virtual training with our manufacturers.
Ø Maintain a strong overall industry knowledge as it relates to our competitors and their applications.
Ø Creating or using manufacturers presentations to be used for training purposes.
- Conduct in person product training with clients such as Engineers, Mechanical contractors and Wholesale partners.
Ø Work with Manufacturers and your sales manager to develop territory plans, pricing and promotions.
Ø Participate in weekly meetings with the team to discuss new products, applications, and training.
Ø Work with inside technical team and assist with trouble shooting when required. This could also include site visits with contractors to assess and assist with issues or concerns.
Ø Updating a CRM platform weekly with your opportunities, be involved with job tracking and follow up discussions with your manager as required.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
Ø Minimum of 5 years experience in customer facing sales / account management.
Ø Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Engineering technology, ticketed Plumber ( with solid knowledge of Hydronic fundamentals), and a Hydronic Design certificate or willingness to obtain certificate. This would be paid for by the employer.

Ø Able to Multi task
Ø Strong time management skills.
Ø Mechanically inclined
Ø Willingness to do occasional overnight travel.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $80,769.00-$84,965.00 per year
