As part of the team at Belle Marche, in Meaford, the Garde Manger is responsible for assisting with food prep, while following proper sanitization protocol, putting away orders, and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen space.
Responsibilities
· Prepare all menu items according to recipes and standards
· Maintain quality, consistency, and visual appeal of food dishes
· Ensure prep stations are stocked and well cleaned
· Properly store and label food products
· Work with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and timely preparation of food
· Monitor inventory levels and inform manager of anything that needs restocking
· Clean stations at the beginning and end of each shift as well as throughout shift as required
· Support manager with any other tasks assigned
Skills
· Previous experience cooking required
· Strong communication and organizational skills
· Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
· Flexibility with working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
· Attention to detail
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand on feet for extended periods of time

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
