Whilst working at DoughBox, you will participate in multiple different roles. We do not have set roles such as line cook, or cashier. We try and vary people around to be trained on every station in the store, so the opportunity to gain experience is there for multiple different sections that can easily cross over to other careers.
The roles you will participate in include but are not limited to
-Preparation and proper handling of food
-Handling cash and debit transactions
-Providing a proper guest experience as you prepare the food in our open concept kitchen
-Handling and organizing orders to set up the kitchen for success
As a subset of the roles you will participate in, you will also be responsible for
-The Cleaning and upkeep of both our open design kitchen, as well as our dining room
-The timely preparation of food in accordance with our recipes and standards
-Adhere to our food cost guidelines
-Ensuring the proper care, maintenance and cleaning of our kitchen equipment
-Maintaining, organizing, cleaning as well as proper storing of all areas of the restaurant
-Able to set clear goals for your day, ensuring you have a task lined up for once you complete your last one
-Finding ways to work efficiently within your section so as to maintain proper service times despite high load periods
-Additional duties and assignments as requested
You need to be comfortable in a fast pace environment where you can communicate strongly and work closely with your fellow team members. We adhere to a fast pace where slow workers stand out.
Important strengths include
-Strong Communicative skills, both written and oral.
-Ability to hold momentum and a fast pace for long durations
-Good sense of teamwork and a willingness to help others
-Able to multi-task and think on the fly to overcome any challenges that arise
-Desire to make good food, in a good environment
Any experience in a kitchen or in a serving capacity is a benefit but not required.
