Rock Iron Contracting is seeking a competent, full time Tandem Driver, who is capable of hauling heavy equipment . We offer competitive wages, Health benefits and a professional work environment. Wage will be negotiated based on experience and skill.
Successful candidates must be able to conduct a variety of job tasks such as: Hauling various materials to and from site, moving equipment to different job locations, pre operational checks and completing all necessary pre and post trip documentation.
Experience operating different types of heavy equipment will be required to load and unload equipment from trailer. Paving expirence will be considered an asset.
Job Duties, Responsibilities and Experience include:
- Hold a valid Class 1 - 3 License with a clean drivers abstract
- Extensive knowledge of applicable driving rules and regulations
- Able to provide preferred claims letter from previous insurance
- Drive within tight areas and overhead powerlines with precision
- Have knowledge of inner-city location and neighborhoods and hold a comfort level driving within these areas
- Ensuring all loads are properly secured
- Conducting Pre-operational checks of equipment and vehicle
- Lubrication and basic daily maintenance
- Adhering to all company and legislative safety requirements
- Arrive on time and be fit for work every scheduled shift
Experience
A minimum of 3 years will be required for this position. Anything less will not be considered
