GENERAL SUMMARY
Responsible for coordination and implementation of all the Sylvan marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal. Directs the efforts of the marketing, and coordinates at the strategic and tactical levels with the other functions of Sylvan Learning Centre.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The position reports to the Executive Director and works closely with the Centre Directors. As a successful Marketing Coordinator, you will assist the Centre Director by managing the local marketing activities in the designated communities. You will establish and maintain collaborative relationships with local businesses, community organizations, teachers, educational specialists and other school administrators and parent/teacher organizations. You will utilize the marketing resources available through COMPASS, IMPACT, Salesforce Marketing Cloud and MARC. In addition, you will manage the digital presence of Sylvan Learning Calgary; you will always promote and maintain the integrity of the Sylvan brand.
- Responsible for creating and implementing comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations program that will enhance Sylvan's image and position within the community.
- Ensure articulation of Sylvan's desired image and position, assure consistent communication of image by utilizing only Sylvan Learning Inc. approved logo's and marketing materials.
- Develop, maintain and oversee effective tracking of marketing efforts to prove validity of campaigns.
- Participate in weekly management calls and monthly in-person training.
- Act as Sylvan's representative within the community, promoting messaging that is coordinated with National marketing campaigns.
- Co-ordinate marketing responsibilities with the Centre Director to ensure that families receive excellence of customer service at the Centre level.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
● Four-year degree preferred; having a Marketing / Business Degree is an asset
● Experience using social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, etc.); having a portfolio to showcase previous work is an asset

● Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
