Main Objectives:
To ensure the efficient and smooth running of the check in desk for surgical patients. Create a friendly and calm space for patients to be received by the team. Assist the peri-operative team to ensure a safe, efficient, and patient-centred environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients at the front desk.
- Manage the schedule for cataract patients in HST Essentials software (training provided).
- Create chart packages for each surgical day.
- Scan patient charts each day.
- Work with surgeon offices to coordinate cancellations/changes/etc.
- Answer phone calls, direct calls, voicemail recording, and checking.
- Assist with OR dictation and reporting as needed.
Qualifications required:
- Proficient with computer systems such as Teams & Microsoft suite (Excel/Word/Outlook), preference given to those with data entry experience.
- Fast paced customer service experience with ability to multi-task in a high interruption environment.
- Dependable and able to prioritize
- Previous experience in healthcare preferred
- CPR (can provide training if needed)
- Physical requirements – ability to communicate clearly, vision and hearing must be good within noisy and busy situations.
- Psychological requirements – ability to stay calm and make quick decisions under stressful circumstances.·
Schedule:
The Centre is open Monday to Friday from 6am – 7pm. Shift times for this position are 10:00am – 6:00pm, with the flexibility to cover earlier shifts as needed. This is a permanent parttime position (30 hours per week).

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
