The Opportunity

Wages:
$16.58-$20.70

You will be responsible for monitoring the hallways of the Supportive Housing wings for unusual occurrences. Act as first respondent when Supportive Housing Residents require assistance . Maintains an accurate log of issues or problems that arise during the shift. Responsible for contacting the necessary, delegated authority when a resident requires attention. Completing duties as per flow sheets.

Completion of grade 10. Your pleasant and sincere approach when dealing with senior residents, as well as visitors and staff member will contribute to the homelike environment that exists at the facility. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills will make you a preferred candidate. Food Safe 1 is required (post July 29, 2013) or equivalent for BC employees and Food Safety Basic or equivalent for Alberta employees.

Requirements:

  • A current and clear Criminal Records Check Form and if applicable a Vulnerable Sector Check that has been obtained no more than 90 calendar days prior to the hire date.
  • A tuberculosis screening that has been completed no more than 12 months prior to the hire date.
