Wymbin is a nature- and play-based early learning centre for children ages 2–5, inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. Our programs integrate outdoor learning, inquiry, music, art, yoga, movement, and literacy to nurture each child’s unique potential.
The Role
We are looking for caring and flexible Substitute Educators to join our sub list. In this role, you’ll step into our classrooms to support or cover for our regular educators when they are away. You’ll work alongside our Lead Educators to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and care for children ages 2–5, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
- Support daily routines, activities, and transitions—both indoors and outdoors.
- Assist with Reggio Emilia-inspired programming, play, and exploration.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Collaborate with Lead Educators and follow established lesson plans when provided.
What We’re Looking For
- Early Childhood Educator Level 1, 2, or 3 (or in progress).
- Experience working with young children in a licensed childcare setting.
- Flexible availability to accept sub shifts, sometimes on short notice.
- Warm, patient, and professional communication skills.
- Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
