What does the role involve?
The warehouse receiver is responsible for handling, moving, loading, and unloading materials for both internal and external requests.
What will your responsibilities be as a Stockroom Clerk?
- Unload goods from trailers using a forklift and electric pallet jack.
- Unpack received merchandise.
- Verify items and quantities received against purchase orders.
- Search for inventory items in the computerized system and perform data entry.
- Deliver requested goods and route documents to the appropriate departments.
- Collaborate with the supply department as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow company health and safety standards.
- Perform other related duties as required.
What does the ideal candidate profile look like?
- Strong knowledge of inventory items and computer systems.
- Valid forklift license.
- Ability to read, write, and understand label contents.
- Familiarity with metric and imperial measurements, and basic math skills.
- Responsible, detail-oriented, and autonomous.
- Good team player.
- Well-organized.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work in a continuous improvement environment.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and handling weights over 50 lbs.
