Jardeg is recruiting for a Steamfitter/Pipefitter Apprentice local to Bonnyville to join our Fabrication Shop team. This is a temporary full-time position until Octobert on a 4 days on and 3 days off rotation.
Bonnyville's Fabrication Shop does fabrication and installation of process piping, structural steel and skid packages for the oil and gas industry anywhere in Alberta. For over 40 years, the Bonnyville office and team have been providing specialized material requirements and technical services and support for industrial construction and applications. As a longtime part of the Bonnyville and area community, we take pride in supporting and contributing to local organizations that improve and enhance community life.
Previous fabrication and assembly shop experience and ability to create ISO drawings and to read and interpret P&ID Drawings is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
Follow written and verbal instructions from foreperson, leadhand or journeyperson.Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals, or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
Set up fittings and pipe to be tacked, tacking experience required.
Hydrotesting experience required.
