We are seeking an experienced and dependable Exterior Spray Painter to join our growing team at Tmattos Services. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with spray painting equipment and a strong background in residential and commercial exterior painting. You must be confident working on ladders, prepping various surfaces, and delivering smooth, professional finishes. A strong eye for detail, job site cleanliness, and commitment to quality are essential.
This role requires knowledge of spray painting techniques, paint mixing, masking, and the ability to work independently or alongside other trades. Candidates must have their own vehicle to travel between job sites. WHMIS certification and strong time management skills are also required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare exterior surfaces (walls, trims, soffits, fences, decks, etc.) by power washing, scraping, sanding, caulking, and priming
- Apply coatings using airless sprayers, HVLP systems, or other professional-grade spray equipment
- Mask and protect surrounding areas with drop cloths, plastic sheeting, and tape to ensure clean results
- Match paint colors and mix products as needed according to manufacturer guidelines
- Operate ladders, scaffolding, and other access tools safely on two- or three-story homes
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times
- Follow project instructions, blueprints, or site specs to ensure consistent, high-quality finishes
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members, respecting timelines and property
- Collaborate with other trades when needed to ensure project coordination and completion
Experience & Requirements
- Proven experience in spray painting and exterior residential or commercial painting
- Proficiency with airless sprayers, masking tools, and exterior-grade paints and stains
- Knowledge of surface prep methods for wood, stucco, brick, and vinyl siding
- Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor environments
- Ability to follow site safety protocols and work efficiently without sacrificing quality
- Must have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- WHMIS certification required
- G Driver’s License is an asset
- Must be reliable, organized, and professional in both appearance and attitude
