Summary
We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our dynamic team in Canada. In this role, you will play a vital part in assessing and treating patients with communication and swallowing disorders, contributing significantly to their rehabilitation journey.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and families on communication strategies and techniques.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations and treatments.
- Participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current registration with the appropriate regulatory body in Canada.
- Experience in a hospital setting is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of acute care practices is essential.
- Familiarity with case management processes is an asset.
- Experience working with pediatric populations is a plus.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology.
