GFL Environmental is looking for Spare Front-End Truck Drivers with a Class 1 or Class 3 license to join our team in Coquitlam, British Columbia!
Front-End Drivers operate front-end trucks that service a variety of multi-family residential and commercial routes, removing and transporting waste or recyclables in fulfillment of customer contracts. This position services multiple customers per day according to assigned routes, with all material transferred to the appropriate station, landfill, or drop-off location.

Key Responsibilities
Operate commercial front-load trucks or ancillary equipment to collect solid waste and transport to post-collection facilities
Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections; complete and submit all required reports and vehicle condition documentation
Interact courteously with customers and/or the public along routes; escalate service issues to supervisors as required
Maintain accurate logbooks, productivity sheets, and vehicle condition reports in compliance with company policy and legal requirements
Maneuver trucks into and out of tight spaces using mirrors and proper driving techniques
Use GPS and route maps to locate service addresses
Follow safe operating practices, including lock-out/tag-out procedures, and ensure compliance with company and regulatory safety standards
Ability to regularly lift/move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds; occasionally move/push up to 300 pounds
Requirements
Valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s license
Minimum of one (1) year commercial Front-End truck driving experience (or completion of CDL school certificate)
Ability to safely drive and operate a front-load truck and related equipment
Strong safety mindset and ability to work independently on assigned routes
Flexibility to work on-call with short notice
