About Dominion Dynamics
Dominion Dynamics is building Canada’s next-generation defense prime; a sovereign technology company delivering AI-powered command and control infrastructure for Arctic sovereignty and autonomous multi-domain operations.
Our flagship program, JADC2-as-a-Service (JADC2aaS), is a persistent dual-use sensing and decision-making network designed for the Canadian Arctic. We integrate land, maritime, aerial, space, and cyber ISR with resilient communications and edge AI to create a sovereign data fabric across the North—benefiting both national defense and isolated communities.
Our founding team includes former military operators and deep-tech builders from Anduril, Google, Amazon, and the Canadian Armed Forces. We’re building hard tech in hard places and looking for leaders who thrive in that environment.
The Role: Space Domain Lead
As Space Domain Lead, you will define and lead Dominion Dynamics’ space domain strategy within our all-domain JADC2 framework. You will integrate space-based ISR, launch, and orbital capabilities into a resilient, sovereign Canadian C2 architecture.
Your background in military space operations or deep-tech commercial space programs will allow you to translate technical design into operational effect. This role will be highly cross-functional—working with our software, hardware, and field teams to deliver a space-enabled command and control layer for Canada and its allies.
Responsibilities
Lead Dominion’s space domain roadmap, integrating space-based ISR and communications into the JADC2aaS platform.
Provide technical expertise in orbital mechanics, launch vehicles, satellite buses, and ground-segment integration.
Architect LEO/MEO/GEO and emerging orbit solutions for Arctic and multi-domain operations.
Collaborate with the Canadian Space Agency, DND, NORAD, and industry partners to enable sovereign space capabilities.
Contribute to CONOPS and operational doctrine development for Canadian space-enabled defense.
Drive space R&D, prototyping, and field demonstrations, including Arctic and remote operations.
Represent Dominion Dynamics in high-level technical and operational discussions with government and allied stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
10+ years in space systems, aerospace engineering, or satellite operations.
Deep expertise in launch, orbital mechanics, satellite buses, ISR/communications payloads, and ground-to-space integration.
Military space experience (RCAF, NORAD, USSF) or deep-tech commercial space background.
Familiarity with Canadian and allied space policy, dual-use applications, and operational requirements.
Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into operational impact for defense and security missions.
Eligibility for a Canadian security clearance (Secret or higher).
