Software Developer

Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000/yr
Our team is expanding and looking for smart, enthusiastic, and agile software developers. As a Software Developer, you will have a blend of responsibilities that will require a hands-on approach and result in being a key contributor to the production of software. This is an exciting opportunity for emerging talents to join the changing landscape of the mortgage industry. You are joining one of Canada’s leading providers of institutional mortgage software and will be supported by our team of seasoned and talented developers.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on development strategy and execution plans while meeting the functional requirements of the business.
- Translate business speak into technical designs and solutions.
- Lead data-driven application design from business requirements.
- Deliver robust technical solutions with a focus on security, performance, usability, testability, reliability, and scalability.
- Communicate effectively to ensure successful project delivery and manage expectations.
- Ensure timely delivery of code and proactively communicate any issues to the Business Analysts and Project Manager.
- Work with technologies such as C# .NET, SQL/NoSQL databases, Azure cloud development.
- Leverage modern AI tools and technologies where appropriate to enhance development productivity, code quality, and overall team performance.
Skills and Qualifications:
- University degree, preferably in Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience with a strong grasp in object-oriented programming.
- 3-5 years of professional experience developing C# .NET enterprise applications.
- Experience and comfort working directly with stored procedures in SQL Server/T-SQL.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Passion to learn and build your technical skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Experience with Azure services (e.g., App Services, Azure Functions) is an advantage.
- Experience with React is a plus.
