In this role, you will:
- Safely operate a variety of heavy equipment in the high-quality installation of underground telecommunications infrastructure
- Work in varied weather conditions
- Complete pre-work and ongoing safety hazard assessments and hazard controls; report any incidents and injuries
- Conduct pre-trip equipment inspections; report all issues
- Complete routine equipment cleaning, maintenance, and repairs
- Review plans and drawings for installation guidance
- Complete documentation including safety, production, materials
- Positively reflect Recon Groundworks in interactions with clients, residents, and businesses
- Assist in identification of buried underground utilities prior to excavation
- Other tasks as required
- Drive to sites pulling a trailer with equipment.
The ideal candidate brings:
- Experience in the installation of underground utilities.
- 5+ years’ experience operating construction equipment (preferred)
- Vibratory plow (asset)
- Horizontal directional drill (asset)
- Mini-excavator (asset)
- Trencher (asset)
- Skid Steer (asset)
Driver’s License
- Class 5 (minimum required)
- Class 3 License (asset)
Safety Certifications
- Level 1 first aid (asset)
- Ground Disturbance (asset)

Pay: $46,077.00-$98,479.00 per year
