Summary:
We are seeking several safety-conscious Skilled Labourer's to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Superintendent, you will provide general labour support on a large new build in Vancouver. This role is employed through CLAC, and membership will be required once hired.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Willing and able to perform physically demanding work including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Adherence and participation in the Metro-Can Construction Health & Safety Program
- Clean up, shoveling, moving materials.
- Open/unlock the site and close the site daily. Gates, fence up and down and handed over to our security guards.
- Garbage and Waste removal.
- Load and unload construction materials and move materials to work areas.
- Dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades.
- Assist carpenters in construction activities.
- Assist in demolishing buildings using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean and pile salvaged materials.
- Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment.
- Use and proficiency on some power tools.
- Able to perform:
- Demolition. Digging, Backfill, Compaction. Swamper, Dewatering. Dismantle forms, non-engineered hoarding and fencing, Grading. Slab on grade prep. Rodman.
- Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers as directed.
- Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors, and pumps.
- Oil and grease hoists and similar equipment.
- Direct traffic at or near construction sites.
- Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed.

Qualifications
- Valid SiteReadyBC, Fall Protection, and Level 1 First Aid tickets, Telehandler ticket an asset.
- At least 4+ years of construction site experience as a general laborer.
- Good communication skills and strong focus on client relationships
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.38-$34.05 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
