We are a reputable construction company looking for a couple Experienced Framers & Carpenters who show leadership and takes initiative on the job site. This is a hands-on role and the ability to operate tools and carry out physical requirements is mandatory. Applicants should have at least 5 years of custom framing experience and access to reliable transportation to and from shop or site.
We complete new home and cottage builds, renovations, decks, docks, boathouses and more in the Simcoe and Muskoka areas. We offer educational training on the job, opportunities for advancement, competitive wages, benefits after 3 months, performance benefits and more.
Successful applicants will be responsible for the following:
- Ability to read and interpret various division drawings (architectural, structural)
- Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy loads and navigate construction job site terrain
- Ability to perform various types of physical labour including: Framing, Carpentry, Building decks, docks, additions, cottages, erect or dismantle scaffolding, drywall/mud/tape and paint, mixing concrete, pouring footings, landscape construction, window and door replacements, demolition of buildings and more.
- Maintain a clean job site
Successful applicants must have the following qualification/skills:
- 5 years of experience
- Framing (wood) Experience is required - if you do not have experience, please do not apply.
- Valid Driver’s License & car
- Must have steel toe boots and work pouch
- Must have or are willing to obtain a boat license
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Team Player
- Willingness to learn and improve skills
- Must be a reliable worker
