Position Overview:
We’re looking for a part-time Skating Instructor to lead treadmill sessions and teach skating techniques to athletes aged 6–18. This is a hands-on, high-energy position for someone who loves hockey or figure skating, and enjoys working with youth in a fun, fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and lead sessions on a skating treadmill (training provided)
- Teach skating mechanics and provide technical corrections
- Motivate and encourage athletes throughout sessions
- Maintain safety protocols and positive facility atmosphere
- Communicate clearly and professionally with players and parents
Mandatory Schedule:
- Choose one of the following:
- Monday to Thursday, 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM, or
- Tuesday to Friday, 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Weekend shifts available for additional hours (optional)
Qualifications:
- Experience playing AA/AAA hockey OR figure skating at a competitive level
- Must be outgoing, positive, and full of energy—no exceptions!
- Great with kids, parents, and team members
- Reliable, coachable, and eager to learn
- Past coaching or instructing experience is a bonus
